Come participate in a day filled with cello activities! We invite you to register for the upcoming event by Cello Lab Miami at New World School of the Arts, a weekend workshop of masterclasses, presentations, cello ensembles, and concerts. This event is free and takes place on Saturday, February 3.

Our day will include ensemble rehearsals and concert, masterclasses, and a raffle of cello-related items. Masterclass participation will be prioritized for high school juniors and seniors, but anyone who is interested in playing can submit a short video of your playing for consideration. After you register, more information will be shared with you in an email. Beyond our director Dr. Bryan Hayslett, our artist faculty is Dr. Germán Marcano, Natasha Brofsky, and Gloria dePasquale.

  • Saturday, Feb. 3 (James K. Batten Room, MDC Wolfson Building 2)

    • 8:30-9 — Registration

    • 9:00 — Welcome

    • 9:15-10:45 — Cello Ensemble Rehearsal 1

    • 11:00-12 — Masterclass with Dr. Bryan Hayslett

    • 12-1:30 — Lunch and Expo

    • 1:30-3:00 — Masterclass with Prof. Natasha Brofsky

    • 3:15-5:15 — Cello Ensemble Rehearsal 2

    • 5:15 — Raffle drawing

    • 5:30 — Dinner Break

    • 7:00 —Cello Ensemble Concert
